Aashiq Abu is an upcoming movie director in Malayalam film industry. He started his career in the movie industry as an assistant director. He made his directorial debut with the release of the film Daddy Cool. The other films directed by him include "Salt N' Pepper", "Da Thadiya", "Annayum Rasoolum", "22 Female Kottayam", "5 Sundarikal", and "Idukki Gold". Amongst these films, the films such as Salt N' Pepper, No.22 Female Kottayam and Da Thadiya were huge commercial hits in the market. He is recipient of several awards including the Kerala State Award for the Best Director. He is married to the noted film actress Rima Kallingal.

He is a Saudi novelist and journalist. He has worked with journalism since 1982. He is currently holding the position of “editor- in chief of Ukaz Saudi Newspaper. He participates in editing Al-Rawi Periodical published by the Jeddah Literary Cultural Club and al-Nas al-Jadeed Magazine as well. He had a weekly column on the last page of Ukaz Newspaper (Hukool), and he now writes a daily social article in “Ashwak” Newspaper that raises serious controversial issues on a large scale among everyday readers. He has written in many Arabic and local magazines such as Al-Arabi Magazine of Kuwait, Literature News of Egypt, Al-Hayat Newspaper, Al-Hadath Magazine of Kuwait, Nazwa Magazine of Oman, Al-Hadatha Magazine of Beirut, Kalemat Magazine of Bahrain, Ibdaa Magazine of Egypt and Cultural Magazine of Bahrain. He has won the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (IPAF) – Poker in 2010 for his novel "Tarmi Besharar" (Spewing Sparks) published by Al-Jamal Publications. His most important writings include “Fusouk” (Lewdness), “Mudun Ta’kul Al-Ushb” (Cities eating Grass), “Nibah” (Barking) and “al-teen” (The Mud).

Abdel Aziz is an Emirati poet. He studied law and participated on many occasions in the Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival (House of Poetry / Sharjah), the Teacher Day at Ajman University of Science and Technology (Al Fujairah Branch), the National Day Celebration 42, 43, and 44 (Dibba Al-Fujairah), the National Day Celebration 43 (Ministry of Culture and Youth – Al Fujairah), poetry evening “In Love of Zayed” at the House of Poetry in Sharjah, and the Gulf Poetry Forum 2016 in Salalah, Oman. A new poetry collection titled “To Her and To Her” will be published in the 36th Edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair.

He got published many publications such as “Lail al-Shams” (Night of the Sun) -novel 1991- that was a winner of Morocco Award for Young Literary Men, “Zagharid Al Mawt” (Trills of Death) -Novel 1996-, “Ruman al-Majanin”(Pomegranate of the Insane) -Told Stories 1997-, al-Morila al-Safra” (Yellow Morelia) – fiction reportage- 2002, “Madinat al-Nuhas” (City of copper) –Told stories 2004-, “Kutabiat al-kharab” and (Battalion of Sabotage) –novel 2007-, which was included in the long list for Poker Prize, “al-Magharba” (The Moroccans)- novel 2016, which was also included in the long list for Poker Prize. He had tens of translations and some of his works have been translated into English and French.

Abdullah Al Hadiyya Al Shehhi is one of the most prominent poets of classical Arabic and Nabati poems. Abdullah has written many epic songs, or what is known as the operetta, and has worked on different poetry purposes during his twenties. He is a Jordanian poet and a member of Jordanian Writers Association, Arab Writers and Authors Association and Emirates Writers Association. He has participated in many TV, radio and press evenings, interviews and dialogues. His poems have been published in a number of Arab and Jordanian newspapers and magazines. He received has several invitations to participate in poetry competitions in Arab countries, including Algeria at “Ukaziyat al-Sher” (Poetry Event) festival. And some of his poems have been translated into Turkish and English and the “Iranian Musta’reba” "assimilated" Arabs (Silvana Poor) translated some of his writings into Persian.

Adeeb Hassan Mohammed

He was born in Qamishli - Syria on January 19, 1971. He holds a diploma degree in dentistry and surgery from Tishreen University, which is a public university located in Latakia - Syria where he graduated from in 1995. He has got published several collections of poems; the most important of which include: “Dead because of life in excess”, “To some my own affairs”, “King of the Open Air”, “Forefinger pointing to Nihility”, “The Wilderness the Way yours hands Wish”, “Down and Middle Life” in addition to a critique book entitled “The Flash Poem: a study in association with Dr. Hayel Al Taleb. He has received several Arabic awards for poetry and criticism, including Suad Al Sabah 1999, Al Bayati 1999, Tanja Al Shaera 2004, Cultural Dubai 2005 and many tens of other local prizes. He has also contributed to arbitrating many poetry and story competition s and participated in several literary festivals and evenings. In addition, he has also published children’s stories and poems in the reputable Arabic children magazines such as Majed and Al Arabi Al Saghir. And some of his children’s poems have been composed and sung.

Adel Khuzam is a poet and writer from the 1980s generation in the UAE. He obtained a Bachelor degree in business administration from the UAE University in 1986. Adel worked in the field of Emirati press then moved to work in TV; currently he works as the Director of the Content Management at Dubai Media Institution. He was born in Dubai – United Arab Emirates on March 04, 1993. He graduated from high school-scientific stream with distinction in 2010. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from American University of Sharjah in 2016. He is currently working as sales engineer for a group of companies in Dubai. He has started writing poetry when he was (14) years old. He received Naji Numan International Award for Creativity for his second collection of poems (Al-Khazan) in 2017. AHMED AL JASSMI

Mr. Al-Jasmi is the most prominent drama/theatre artist in the UAE and the most popular drama/theatre actor here

as well. He was born in Sharjah in 1962. His passion for drama and theatre has preoccupied his entire life. As a matter of fact, his talent qualified him so early to join the international drama festival of Carthage from where he received the award for the best actor in “Abu Hamda Café” , which was directed by the Iraqi dramatist, Mr. Jawad Al Asadi. His early theatrical activity started with school theatre and he attended many theatrical courses conducted by prominent Arab dramatists . He has also participated in several theatre workshops. Al Jasami is one of those young people who carried the banner of theatrical work. In 1978, he founded the Ajman National Theatre, then, he joined the Sharjah National Theatre and chaired its board of directors for several years. During his pioneering career, Al Jasmi produced several plays at the local, Gulf and Arab level. Afterwards, he turned to television drama where he began with works produced by the State TV channels and the Gulf and

Arab TV channels. He also participated in many radio dramas, through the Abu Dhabi Radio. He also held the position of Chairman of the board of directors of the Sharjah National Theatre. Then, he served

as member of the Supreme Committee for Gulf Festival in Kuwait for 12 years, and was a member of Dubai Festival  Arbitration Committee and Abu Dhabi Gulf Film Festival and Drama Controller

Ahmed Mahna is an Egyptian writer, publisher and entrepreneur. He graduated from the Commerce and BA faculty – Helwan University in 2007, and got a Master Degree in MBA in 2017. He is a co-founder and editor-in-chief of the ‘Pocket Egyptian blogs’, the first series of books by Egyptian bloggers.
